What happens after you call Warwick Roofing

Warwick Roofing runs a call line for roof repair and replacement in Warwick and the towns around Narragansett Bay. You describe what you see, and the call goes to an independent local roofing contractor. That roofer inspects the roof, writes the quote and does the work, and you decide whether to hire them.

Our story

How Warwick Roofing works

Warwick is Rhode Island's largest city in Kent County, with 82,836 residents at the 2020 census and more than 30 villages, from Apponaug and Conimicut to Oakland Beach, Warwick Neck and Pawtuxet Village. The Warwick Neck Lighthouse dates to 1827, and T.F. Green International Airport sits on Post Road. Roofs here have a long history to match: older village houses, postwar capes, shoreline cottages taking bay wind.

People who call about a roof rarely know what they are looking at. They see a brown ring on a ceiling after a thaw, a gutter pulling away under a pile of ice, a patch of shingles on the lawn after a storm. They do not know whether it is a flashing repair or a new roof, and they do not know whom to trust when the phone book is a list of strangers.

Warwick Roofing exists to make that first step easier. You say where you are and what you can see, we connect you with a roofer who works your side of the bay, and the conversation about the roof happens between you and the person who will be standing on it.

Plain answer to a fair question

The roofer who answers your call

Dialing this number reaches Warwick Roofing. We take down your town, what you can see from the ground, and whether water is coming in, and we pass the call to an independent roofing contractor, our local partner, who works your side of Narragansett Bay. That contractor, not Warwick Roofing, climbs the ladder, writes the quote, signs the work order and answers for the roof afterward.

Rhode Island does not license roofers as a trade of their own. Contractors working on homes register with the Contractors' Registration and Licensing Board, and a separate licence applies to commercial roofing. The roofer who calls you back may or may not carry extra credentials, and neither Warwick Roofing nor this site holds or claims any of them for the work.

We keep the roofer's registration number off this site for privacy: it is a small local business, and a number published on the open web follows it for years. It is not hidden from you. Ask on the call or when the roofer rings ahead, and check whatever you are given with the board in Cranston before work begins.

Values

What we hold ourselves to

Look first, climb never

Every call starts with what you can see from the ground, and with a plain reminder to stay off a wet, snowy or icy roof. A roofer checks the rest.

Quotes in writing

We encourage you to ask for a written quote that names the materials, the layers coming off and the flashing, and to compare it with a second one.

Honest about who does what

Warwick Roofing takes the call. The roofer who answers does the inspection, sets the price and carries out the work, and is the one you hold to the quote.

Local, not generic

Triple-deckers in Providence and Fall River, slate in Newport, shoreline capes in Barrington and Tiverton: advice is matched to the kind of roof, not copied from one town to the next.

Service standards

Our promises on every visit

  • We state what we are: a call line that connects you with an independent local roofing contractor, who does the work.
  • We never promise an arrival time, because weather, roads and the roofer's own schedule decide it.
  • We give safety instructions first: stay off wet, icy or snowy roofs and away from wet light fixtures and outlets.
  • We do not set or publish a price for your job. Published Rhode Island cost guides disagree widely, and the roofer's written quote is the figure that counts.
  • We make no promise about insurance, and we do not negotiate with insurers or adjust claims.
  • We point you to the state and local authorities that regulate roofing: the Contractors' Registration and Licensing Board for Rhode Island, and the Massachusetts registration for the towns over the line.
  • We ask you to confirm permit requirements with the City of Warwick Building Department or the town that applies to your address.

One call and it gets handled.

Most help calls are scheduled the same day when a technician is free, and you approve the price before any work starts.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Who decides what repair my roof needs?

The roofer who inspects it does, and you decide whether to accept. Ask for photos of what the roofer found and a written quote that separates the repair from any optional work. If the advice does not match what you can see, get a second opinion.

Can I choose the roofer instead of being matched?

You can ask on the call whether a particular contractor is available, and nothing forces you to hire whoever picks up. You are free to get quotes from others, and a good roofer will expect you to compare.

Is a roof on an older house handled differently?

Yes, in the questions asked. A house built around the median year of 1960, or well before it, may have several layers of shingle, small or poorly vented attics and flashing from another era. Say the age of the house on the first call so the roofer comes prepared.

What if I live in a historic district?

Tell the roofer on the first call. Newport requires a Certificate of Appropriateness for roof work in locally designated districts, and Apponaug and Pawtuxet Village in Warwick may need Historic District Commission review. Confirm with the local authority before ordering materials.
